Factory spinning waste; silk noils that have been through processing ready for spinning - they are condensed into gradually finer rovings until all that is needed to form a yarn is twist. They will easily pull apart to reveal the short noil fibres. These fine rovings can be carded back into a fibre or used for drawing and decoration on embroidery, collage 'paper' and felt. The colours are soft browns, creams, greens and blues.
