Silk wasted during sericulture, the reeling, throwing, spinning and 
weaving processes and silk yarn waste that has been formed back
into a fibre as well as pristine skeins of filament silk have been
included in this section. These have not been processed into tops, 
noils, caps or laps but come directly as they have been discarded 
during the production and processing of silk.  

Silk waste uses are many and varied and with experiment and imagination
give exciting results in sculpture, paper making, and mixed media art 
as well as in the more traditional textile crafts of spinning, weaving 
and embroidery.
